Harvard Club of Boston Kicks Off Global Month of Service

With Non-Profit Board and Volunteer Recruitment Fair

Over 30 organizations from Boston and Cambridge offer flexible and rewarding experiences for Harvard alumni/ae who want to serve

BOSTON – The Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC) , Harvard Alumni Association, and Harvard Club of Boston join together in celebrating Harvard’s Global Month of Service by organizing the first-ever Nonprofit Board and Volunteer Recruitment Fair in Boston. Representatives from over 30 leading community non-profit organizations will be in attendance. Some of the organizations expected to attend include the Phillips Brooks House Association, Peace Corps, MASSCreative, Primary Source, Horizons for Homeless Children, Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy, ABCD, Cambridge Community Center, Strong Women, Strong Girls, The Food Project, and World Teach. A full list of participating organizations will be available on www.cpic.fas.harvard.edu.

The fair will take place on Wednesday April 3rd, 2013 from 6-9pm at the Harvard Club of Boston. Harvard alumni/ae will learn about how they can support a wide range of projects and find the right level of commitment. Those interested in contributing as an individual start at 6pm and those interested in becoming Board Member begin at 7pm.
