Walk For Hunger

It's Harvard's Global Service Month and our Club invites you to participate in Project Bread's Walk For Hunger, Sunday, May 7th.

The Walk is twenty miles, and begins and ends at the Boston Commons. Walkers do not need to walk the full twenty miles to participate as there are checkpoints approximately every two miles with complimentary shuttle buses back to the common.

Phil Schneider, our Club's Walk Coordinator, will be walking 20 miles for the eleventh time with his five grandchildren to help Project Bread reach its goal of ending hunger and food insecurity in Massachusetts.

Email Phil if you have any questions.  If you're unable to walk, and would like to make a donation, click here.

It's a wonderful family activity! Go Phil, Nori, Emi, Jed, Sarah and Jake

The 49th Walk for Hunger & 5K Run is an annual community movement of neighbors helping neighbors across the Commonwealth. Since its inception in 1969, the Walk for Hunger has raised more than $100 million to support local programs that alleviate hunger.

This year, more than 300 local programs in more than 100 Massachusetts communities will be supported through money raised by Walkers (and runners!) including: food pantries, meal programs, food rescue, urban agriculture, and critical child nutrition programs. Your Walk makes it possible.
